We request only information we need to complete your order and to contact you in relation to your order and/or any queries. If you opt-in to any marketing initiatives, we will keep your email address on file. If you contact us to opt-out of marketing, we will action this request as soon as possible. The security of your information is a high priority for us. For the checkout area of the online store, we use use SSL 128-bit encryption to protect your personal details as they are submitted to us. Similarly, PayPal use encryption for your connection to their site during the payment processing. PayPal is considered one of the most secure payment gateways and they handle the transfer of funds from you to us without revealing your credit card details.

Payment

Payment processing for the website’s online store is provided by PayPal. Once you have chosen your products and decided to ‘checkout’, we will request your delivery information and then you will proceed to the PayPal website to process payment for your order (including delivery charges) by credit card or PayPal account (PayPal eChecks are not accepted as payment). We do not accept liability for errors made by PayPal as part of the payment process.

The delivery cost for your order is calculated based on the delivery address. The accuracy of the delivery address is the responsibility of the customer. In the event that an inaccurate delivery address results in under-charging for delivery, we will request correct payment for delivery before the order is dispatched.

Please check the delivery details you provide to us to ensure they are correct. If an order is undeliverable due to incorrect delivery details, we reserve the right to charge a re-delivery fee. If you are ordering from outside the EU, you are responsible for any taxes, customs fees and/or duties which are applied to the order in your country. We reserve the right to refuse an order without giving a reason.

All products ordered are subject to availability. In the event that your product is unavailable when ordered, we will contact you to offer you a replacement or a full refund.

Cancelling your order

If you wish to cancel your order, you should contact us in writing (by email to sparkle@joujoujewels.com) within 48 hours of placing your order. If the request to cancel is received after this time, cancellation will be at our discretion, and can only be granted if the item has not yet been dispatched. In the event the order has been dispatched when a request to cancel is received, you still have options to return the order after you receive it. Please see the section on returns, below.

Returns

Cooling off period: If your order was placed online (ie, you did not have the opportunity to see the product(s) in person before ordering), then you are entitled to a 7 day Cooling Off Period after you receive your order during which you can return the products to us and receive a refund if you are unhappy with them & they are returned in a saleable condition. If you are returning under the Cooling Off Period, you do not need to provide a reason but you should notify us in writing (email to sparkle@joujoujewels.com) before you return the order. A refund (less original delivery charge) will be given provided the goods are received back in good saleable condition. Returning an order in this manner is at your expense and return delivery should be by registered post or courier as any loss or damage which occurs while the product in transit will affect the availability of a refund. Please note that bespoke/custom orders are exempt from the cooling off period. For more information on the Cooling Off Period, visit the National Consumer Agency’s website

Faulty Goods: If your product has a fault, you can return to us by registered post (we will refund you the cost of returning the item) and we will repair, replace or refund the product at our discretion, in accordance with your consumer rights. We stand by the quality of our products and want your experience of our products to be a good one, so we will do our best to resolve any issues with faulty goods to your satisfaction, but at our discretion. Our definition of a fault, however, does not include wear and tear, or natural imperfections which are a normal feature of cultured freshwater pearls & natural gemstones. If you are not happy with the product when you receive it, please consult the Cooling Off Period process above.
